The
Botanical Garden
Even
people who have no real affinity to desert scapes (yes, there are
people like that!) admit that the Ein Gedi oasis is a sight not
to be missed. Imagine an oasis with over 800 unique and rare species
of trees, shrubs and flowers from all over the world.
The result is a one-of-a kind, exotic and well-tended botanical
garden containing biblical plants such as myrrh and frankincense,
rare trees such as the baobab, tropical plants from the rainforests,
date palms and other palm trees, fruit trees, local plants such
as the Sodom Apple, and many more.
Cactus
Park
Close
by the botanical garden is the Cactus Park, with a rare collection
of 1,000 species of cactus and desert plants from around the world.
The houses are set among this exotic flora, providing a rare and
picturesque way of life for members of the kibbutz.
